Snowmass Village is built around the mountain, with lodging, lifts, Base Village and the Snowmass Mall clustered for a convenient resort stay. Winter emphasizes skiing and snowboarding; summer brings lift-served biking, hiking, concerts, rodeo nights and family activities.
Aspen is only about nine miles away, and free regional buses make the two destinations easy to pair. Snowmass is a great fit when you want the mountain outside your door and the option of an Aspen day for dining or culture.

Getting around
The free Village Shuttle connects lodging areas, the Snowmass Mall, Base Village and Town Park. RFTA provides free service between Snowmass Village and Aspen, plus connections elsewhere in the valley. Rideshare availability can be limited, so do not rely on it as your only plan.
